Haji's Hero Prototype
Haji's Hero was created in England by
Harmony Kingdom artist Monique Baldwin. It was one of the redemption pieces for
2002 Royal Watch members. This piece was
named after an elephant calf born November 28, 1999 at the Dickerson Park Zoo in
Springfield, Missouri. The 31-month-old elephant calf,
Haji, the first to be conceived by artificial insemination, died
suddenly from elephant herpesvirus.
The Elephant Wee Beastie
was also carved by Monique Baldwin, and was available only from the Dickerson
Park Zoo.
