Carved by Master Carver Peter Calvesbert in 2003, O Give Me a Home was produced as a box figurine at Wimberley Mills in England for Harmony Kingdom's Treasure Jest line. The O Give Me a Home offered here is a solid body prototype.

O Give Me a Home was issued as a fixed edition of 2,500 pieces worldwide in January 2004. It measures approximately 3.25" x 2" x 2.5".

O Give Me a Home HK Secrets:
(Production Box)

The animal subject of this box figurine is called a buffalo in the US and a bison in the UK. This buffalo looks scruffy because it is molting its heavy fur, needed for harsh winters on the plains. The interior shows a buffalo taking revenge on an early settler. Buffalo once roamed in the plains in huge numbers, but were then reduced to about 500 animals. Thanks to conservation efforts, the buffalo has made a come back. The artist's signature mouse is hiding under the bison's right foreleg.

This prototype has several differences from the production box:

  • It is a solid body figurine, not a box.
  • The words "Bison" and "Buffalo" are not on the base.
  • A small patch of fur is missing from the right side.
  • The coloration of the fur is consistent, unlike that of the production box where the head is black.
